so lonely!!!
Oh man, I am feeling so excited and I have no one to tell! Parents are gone, Drew is working all day and night, brothers are both moved out... who's left? This is really an awful feeling, but good at the same time. How can it be?!?!?!?!
I suppose blogger will be my listening ear tonight.
Sarah referred a principal to me who was looking for a 0.5 music teacher. At first, I told the principal that I only wanted a morning position (so I get the best of both worlds with the studio and being a teacher), and he said that he might be able to make it work. He mentioned that he knew another school nearby also looking for a 0.5 music teacher, and they could probably coordinate the times so that it is 1.0 position. He offered to call the other principal so that I would only have to make the trip up north once, and get the interview over with all at once, but I told him that I was only looking for a morning position, and said thank-you.
STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!
Afterwards, I looked online and noticed that the second school gets let out at 3:18 (which is early) and is closer (just 12 blocks north of my studio), which means I can still keep all of my piano students and start teaching by 4:00! So then I called him back and asked him if it was still possible to be interviewed by both of them, and he said that he just talked to the other principal, and they were both going to be at the interview anyways, and then arm wrestle for whoever wanted me more.

Man, I prayed so hard that God would provide me with a morning music teacher position, because it seemed like it was going to be the only way that I could keep the studio going, and keep my sanity with lesson planning too. Let's not get too ahead of myself though... I still have to go in for my interview, but the principal seemed to really like me on the phone (who wouldn't:P) and if I just keep my cool and fake it thru the Orff stuff (some method that they want me to use that I don't have a clue what it's about, nevermind the fact that I don't have any 'music teacher' training for a classroom setting), I should make it out okay, right?
God is SOOO good. All I could see was working 0.5 in the morning and spending the rest of the day at the studio. He had a plan better than mine, and now I can work full time AND keep the studio functioning somewhat regularly. And the schools are somewhat close to the studio (it could be way worse). AND the first school is really technology and academic oriented, so maybe I can eventually squeeze into a regular teaching job (but I think it's less work to be a music teacher), AND this school does lots of work with the Calgary Zoo, and all of the students and staff of the school get free annual passes to the Zoo! (I don't know if this includes part time staff, but I'll pray really ahrd for it too:P)
In conclusion, please keep me in your prayers. I told God that at this point, I knew that the only way that I was going to get a job that worked out with the studio was if it was something that he set aside for me. I am so excited, yet so scared cuz it seems way way way too good to be true. Fanks.
