an unexpected visitor...

Today I have an unexpected visitor at my house... can you guess who it is? He has brown eyes, and a small nose... his name begins with a "C"... and ends with a "H"...

I went to go walk Leo's dog this morning... Had to wake up at 9am... *ouch* We had a good time though... I know you're wondering how I can know whether the dog had a good time or not..... Did he talk to me??? No. BUT he did take 2 poo-poos on our walk this morning cuz he was having too much fun. We ran for a little bit, but not long and then I took him home. He was following me everywhere, and I didn't want to leave him right away cuz he has been home alone all weekend, so I sat with him, and he rested his head on my lap, and then he tried to get me to play with him. I played for a little bit, but really, there is not much for me to do at Leo's house, so I wanted to go home. He followed me to go pick up my keys and phone from the table, he followed me to the door, and I felt so bad leaving him there all by himself........ so yep, I took him with me. We got in my car and went to Blockbuster to return some movies and then came home... my home. He was really good in the car, just stayed in one spot didn't move, didn't make a peep... probably cuz he was so scared though...

Now he's following me everywhere... He even tried to come to the washroom with me... He sat beside me, leaning on my, as I read the flyers, and then I went to clean up the kitchen and he came, and I went to practice piano, and he laid underneath my legs. Guess where he is now? Under the chair that I'm sitting on... and I just got up to get a kleenex, and he immediatly stood up and followed me... Man, I'm beginning to get a bit uncomfortable... it's like he's stalking me... I had a couple of seconds of time for myself when I came downstairs cuz he was too scared to come with me... I could hear his footsteps slowly coming down a few stairs, and then he's run back upstairs... I think it took him 4 or 5 tries before he made it to me on the computer.

I'll take him home for his second walk around dinner time... hopefully he'll be good for my student in the afternoon.

Well, it's official... Our soccer and football teams are underway... Even though I don't have a job, this is going to be a busy summer...

a quote taken from msn...

Same plan as everyday... wake up at noon, walk around the house... eventually end up at the fridge for lunch... teach piano, eat dinner, stick in a movie, and sleep... I live the high life!
I will eventually get off my butt, but for now, I'm enjoying the time off.

nothing's up.

Nothing's up...

I went fishing out of town on the weekend. Bought a new reel for it, and had to buy a WIN card and a fishing liscense. There are so many rules to abide by that it makes fishing no fun. But just being outdoors is better than staying cooped up inside the house all day I suppose.

Jon came home for the weekend... commented on the lawn...... yep, you'd think that he'd have a good comment on it, since I spent so many labouring hours working on getting Drew and others to do it for me :o) but nope, he said... "uh --- you guys need to mow the lawn. The grass long. " ***ouch!***

The Great Moose Adventure...

I was part of it, but not the star, so you'll have to visit Drew's page to find out about the awful, awful thing that happened yesterday while we were cleaning my back yard... utter disgust... look for the title "The Great Moose Adventure".

On another note, our lawn is so ugly... front and back. I got a blister from raking out 1/50th of the dead grass yesterday.

Last night we had a family barbeque with Jenny and Andrew. But then we decided to invite Sam, SArah and Leo, so I guess it ended up becoming an extended family barbeque. It was pretty yummy. I had been looking forward to it for the whole week, so was a little disappointed about the clouds and the moose ordeal... none-the-less, it was still good. The boys cooked all the food and we had mango ice cream cake for dessert. The best part was, the boys even cleaned up outside... but the dishes are still in the sink :(

Oh, and the answer was B. Emma invited me to her house, and when I said I couldn't go, she assured me that her parents weren't going to be home to try to get me to change my mind.

the color yellow.

Well, it's that time of year again... our lawn always looks so ugly beside the neighbours... mostly because they take extra care of their's, and we dont' take care of ours at all... bad combination. I will attempt to keep up a little this summer though...

1st Lawn Cutting of the Year: May 11, 2005

I hope there are no bugs out.

Smell ya later, or as Dick would say... "I am going to cut some grasses now!"

which one?

Turns out I didnt' mess my kids over too bad. THey still got excellent as their mark, which is still 85-90%. YAY!

Which of the following is a true story of what happened to me yesterday:

a.) I got asked out by a 16-year-old-kid to go watch a movie at the cheap theatre while picking up some groceries from SAfeway
b.) One of my students invited me over to her house to watch National Treasure with her little brother and her, in their mom and dad's room.
c.) I went to Burger King's drive thru at 11pm for a snack and got flashed while waiting for my food
d.) I went to play poker at the Casino across from the STampede and lost all my money ($50)

Back home safe and sound...

I have to pack

I have to pack... I don't know how I ended up with so much stuff, and I even got rid of some of what I came with too, cuz I had to carry some of Jon's stuff here. So why is it that I have not enough room for all my stuff? Well, it might have to do with having to take back 2 pairs of shoes. Hmm... I will have to work something out tomorrow.

It'll be busy tomorrow... I have to do 1 load of sheets, and shower and go to the beach, eat lunch, eat din din, catch the shuttle to the airport, panic about not finding the right terminal and missing my plane, and then sit in an airplane bored out of my mind for the whole night. Don't worry though, I bought a magazine (first time in my life, I don't think it's worth the money) to occupy my time. But I'm hoping that the movie series of unfortunate events (or whatever it's called) will be playing cuz I haven't seen it before, and don't have a clue what the books are about. I need to be "hip" with my students.

Tonight was an unsuccessful night of going out. It was Lei Day, so big celebrations, except we somehow managed to sleep through the whole day with the exception of lunch. We slept until 1 and then made lunch at 2, and went straight back to sleep until 7. By the time we got ready to go out, it was about 830, and we waited at a restaurant for an hour... blah blah blah. I got sick from drinking tonight. LAME-O... Man, the amount of times that I've gone out and drank these past 3 weeks exceeds what I've done for the past year. On another note, I got ID-ed today. First time since being here probably out of 5 or so times... I keep getting called Ma'am here.

Tomorrow is my last attempt at surfing... no more injuries please!

Well, I will be on the plane tomorrow night... is coming home a good thing or a bad thing?
