Found...

Spent the day at the beach again. I leave tomorrow though... good and bad. I will miss the sun and the sand. The good is that I won't have to keep spending. Oh, another bad thing is no more TV :( Last night we went out until 4am. The atmosphere in the bars is pretty gross here... Been out 3 weeks in a row, I think that's too much for me... Last night was getting old... Sad.

Found: On the bottom of my left foot, at the ball of my foot, I have found 3, 2-inch long scratches, all parallel to each other. They don't hurt cuz I guess it wasn't cut too deep. I must've gotta them yesterday. What are they from?

Canadian Girl Wounded in Surfing Accident

Peanut butter is yucky... and what's worse than peanut butter is mixing it with bananas and ruining the taste of the bananas.

I went snorkeling again and went further out cuz I wore a bright orange life jacket... that's the only way I was willing to go in... it as a very cool experience, but one that I won't do again. I also found out that I have heart problems and that I hyper ventilate very easily when it comes to water.

Well, I tried surfing today, for a whole 5 minutes and came out with a war wound. I took a pic of it, but can't post it right now... it revisits emotions that I'm not quite ready to revisit yet... (that or it's just inconvenient to upload the picture right now). When was the last time I got hurt? I can't even remember because I am invinsible..... errr... except when it comes to water.

Today is SPAM DAY in Waikiki... a celebration of Spam... imagine that eh? The street was blocked off and tons of booths were set up. Here's the question for today: Does Jacklyn like spam???

scratched.

scratched... not from a cat... from a rock. Went snorkeling and saw some of the "neat-est" (teacher talk) fishy wishy's.... they were neat-o. Tomorrow I'm going to snorkeling again but to a better place. We'll bring our underwater camera. Also going to a luau tmw. You guys know what a luau is? Yeah, either do I... I'll know after tmw though.

True of False? Jacklyn likes peanut butter?

complaints

Had some complaints about turtles not being big in the picture... maybe these ones are better...

Off to Pearl Harbour. Smell ya later.

full.

Another lazy day. We didn't leave the house until 3, like all of our lazy days. Skipped lunch and just went straight to the beach. Didn't go body boarding today though... it scares me to go alone. Then we just went swimming in the pool, but for me it was feet dipping, and then we ate steak and lobster for din din. Came with corn on the cob... yummy in my tummy... I actually brought the football out with me today, but noone would play with me... noone being jon. So no practice for me here.

Tomorrow we're going to buy jon a board and seeing Pearl Harbour.

I posted a pic of the turtles for you guys, since you all keep talking about riding it. They were big and scary, and I'm sure none of you would've been riding them.

Lots of poker to watch here... Poker tournies on tv at all times... kinda makes me want to play. And now, I can see why all the boys like Texas Holdem'. Anyone interested in getting a game on when I get back?

Yeah, I don't like hamsters either...

Recently, I've been turned off from blogging... What can I say? I'm just moody sometimes... or always :)

Well, first off, I did not ride the turtles. They were big. And scary when they got close. What absurd questions coming from the guy who was lecturing me on UV rays.

A pretty relaxing weekend. Spent the day at home on Saturday... the WHOLE day in a bachelor pad with my brother, and later linda. There's so much stuff in here that there's no space on the floor. I was either on Jon's blow-up bed watching tv or on linda's laptop in the corner. Jon would be doing the opposite of what I was doing. We watched back-to-back episodes of "stuff" and it was so weird watching tv again. I miss it.

Today we slept until noon, and then went for lunch about 2ish. Went to the beach after, and watched the sunset. There was a big screen set up on the beach to watch a movie every weekend after the sunset, so we stayed and watched 50 first dates. It was a lot different from the last time I watched it cuz there are a lot of inside hawaiian jokes in it that I didnt' appreciate. Reminds me of how I find Shanghai Noon so funny. Dinner was casual, Burger King all the way... mmm.... whopper junior....................

the width of your arms.

your armspan != your palm
your armspan != a computer mouse
your armspan != a camera
your armspan != size 9 shoes
your armspan != any size shoe

your armspan == your height
your armspan == width of a small compact car
your armspan == a nice big screen tv
your armspan == length of a turtle

The length of a turtle?!?! What the heck???

Today we went to a different beach. We saw turtles. BIG ONES. If you
spread your arms apart, the length of the turtle would be about that big, minus head and tail. I guess you could say it was teh size of a nice big screen tv or the width of a small compact car. Doesn't matter, they were huge. We played with them and fed them, but they were scary and the waves were quite fierce... Since I don't know how to swim, I was doubly scared, I guess you could say that I was a super fat chicken.

Also went shopping today. The only store that I've been looking forward to going to, that noone else wanted to go, we finally went to. Everyone else got shoes for themselves except me. NO FAIR!

P.S. Hawaii is actaully Hawai'i. The "ee" sound is pronounced extra at the end, and the "wai" is a quick cut off.

P.P.S. Kingston, just wanted to double check to make sure you're okay with teaching SS for me... if not let me know, I'll find a different replacement. THanx

itchy belly

I woke up with an itchy belly and was scratching, scratching, scratching... turns out I got sunburn on my belly too... not as bad as my back, but just enough to cause a bit of itch.

Today we're just going to do the same thing, cuz we gotta be back at home by 5pm since that's what Linda gets home. It's already 12pm... I slept until 11am :) Mmmmm.... here is an interesting thing to know. If you don't like your food mixing on your plate, maybe Hawaii (answer to your question Jonwong) is not the place for you... it seems that they just plop all of their food on one plate and that's it.

Oh, and if anyone's wondering, lays is actually spelt leis.

red back

I was good today! We went shopping for a little bit and I didn't buy anything! I refrained... I will save it for Wednesday and if I don't find anything on Wednesday, then I will buy stuff the last few days that I am here.

Red back from yesterday... thought it wasn't sunny out so didn't put any sunscreen on... it really wasn't sunny, it was cloudy and cold, but I guess there was still enough sun to burn me. So today at the beach was not as enjoyable, but I was very suprised to see a bit of a tan. A good relaxing day.

Man, Geo...

Man, who else thinks that Geo has way too much spare time on his hands? Maybe you should start studying for finals or something??? I don't know, just a thought :)

Walmart and SAfeway are open 24 hours here... so Jon and Linda are out buying groceries... I am home cuz I am sick. My nose is in pain, and though I spent the day at the beach, I still have a kleenex box that I had to carry around with me. I hate being sick, I think that the amount of times that I have been sick just this year probably exceeds the amount of times that I have been sick in my entire life... well, maybe that it an over-estimation, but you get what I mean. Just count that last sentence as being a lie, just like every last sentence that Kingston says is false... Oh crap, now it's the 3rd last sentence. Now the 4th... arg, there is no beating the system! I must end the insanity here!!! (5th, yes, count it was 5th last sentence as a lie... keeping in mind the number one rule for blogging... anything in brackets doesn't count as a sentence...)

(YES! I beat the system!)

Mahalo!

(Oh crap, just ruined it again...)

same routine...

I never knew it, but I guess my audience has some pretty big issues to deal with. Judging by their sarcasm, it seems that they are the ones known as, "stinky kids". I always wondered what that smell was when they were around. I guess it's okay that you take your frustrations out on me and my blog... you can use it as your outlet to release your emotional hurts... I don't mind... I like helping people ;)

BSD was fun... Went to Tantra and saw a couple old faces, which was a nice surprise... It was way too packed and stuffy, but I met some new people which evened it out. I wanted to bring my red hawaiian dress here, but it was so gross by the end of the night that there was no way I could... so, I'll just buy a new one I guess :)

With the same routine... well, I am sick AGAIN. My sore throat ended up turning into a cold where I am once again in the cycle of breathing through my mouth. It sucks. The plane ride was horrible cuz I was suffering from lack of oxygen, and I desperately wanted to sleep, but couldn't. I am getting old... I used to be able to sleep on command, but now the little things distract me like light and noise.

On a brighter note, we got to watch Ocean's 12 on the plane... Let's just say that it was a good movie alongside with Brad Pitt being hot. The food was gross, and I don't think I want to fly Air Canada anymore, but it's cheap.

Linda met us at the airport which was really nice... She brought us fresh colourful lays... very pretty with lots of fragrance (except that I can't smell anything, but that's what they say). It's 1:38am here, and 5:38am in Calgary... I wish I could just pass out right now...

free!

No teaching today... FINALLY... how nice is that? Tomorrow I have 1 student right in the middle of they day for 30 mins... kinda sucky.

Nothing exciting... my throat is still sore... ate a bunch of random food yesterday, so now I am feeling a bit queasy.

This trip is costing a lot... the ticket was one thing, but I get the feeling that spending is going to cost me a lot too... went to the bank to get some money yesterday, and yeah... let's just say that it put a dent in my wallet... Recently all of my students have been really pleasant so that I think I'm going to buy them each a small something. I've really grown to enjoy them, and will miss them over teh summer. My favorite student is quitting piano though. She's so talented so it's a shame to see it wasted... but things were too busy with skating 3 times a week, and entering competitive soccer 4 times a week. Kinda sucky, but her dad is the coach for the soccer team, so she's not gonna quit that...

Okay, I'm going to start to pack today... already have an idea of what to bring and I even did my laundry too, so I'm left with only packing. I'm trying really hard to remember to bring my football and frisbee... hopefully this will remind me in case I forget.

lazy day.

Slept in, sore throat, Tim Hortons, Tony Danza, bank, blog... that's my day.

FYI, Tony Danza's show sucks... he kinda sucks too...

I'm excited about BSD... I have to teach, so no beer gardens, not that I woudl've got anyways.... i really hope that it's nice, we're going to have a BBQ adn then I think we're headed to the Whiskey, anyone reading should come, it'll be fun.

Our football and soccer teams have been formed!!! We're still missing one girl for the football team, and 2 girls for teh soccer team.... soccer can always have more players anyways, so if you are interestd, it's still not too late!

graduation day

Today, I graduated... from year 1 of the MT program. HAHA... the girls in my class performed this whole graduation ceremony. They made us hats and certificates and made us walk across the the front of the room from right to left, while saying a short statement that described each of us. The girl who walked across before me had the statement, "it is better to be late, than never" because she still came to class when she had just got back from New York the same day. I walked across the stage after her, and my statement was, "but it is always better to be late..." They played Greenday's Time of your Life... Some of them were emotional, but I have to admit that the people in my class are pretty funny and increasingly rowdy as the year goes on too... it'll be sad cuz we wont' be in the same class anymore.

Well, due to my procrastination, I finally decided to open up my flight itinerary. Apparently I'm not leaving until Saturday, so I will actually get to go to BSD! It's funny cuz I was really sad that I was going to be missing it this year... it seems like I know more people who'll be going out to it this year, so it should be fun, except that it's supposed to be kinda cold, only 15 out. Oh well, I get to wear my red dress that I only get to wear once in a blue moon, but so far it's been twice this year! Anyways, if anyone's planning to go out for BSD let me know where you'll be... maybe I'll come visit!

Just one more thing... I actually have been updating my blog, but when I go to publish it, the link says it didn't work, and then everything gets deleted... well, knowing me, I'm just too lazy to rewrite it, so I leave it...

the blue guy...

Andy's at hockey right now... what does that mean I'm supposed to do?! I finished teaching, and Jackson's watch TV, that leaves nothing for me except the computer... sigh... and I'm afraid to say it, but blogging is kinda getting old and boring now... especially since it seems to be the new trend. Ah well, we'll see how long I keep it for.

Well, I had a safe drive home. Was really nice out and tomorrow's supposed to be even nicer, a high of 19 or something. I will definitely go for a run tomorrow, maybe even a scenic bike ride if I can find a companion for it... What else? I had one of my students pee with the door open today, and it was funny cuz I made fun of him about it... ah, I must say that I really enjoy the students that I have cuz they can take my jokes lightly, and I get to make fun of them as much as I want... Quite amusing if you ask me... but it's only funny cuz I'm more immature than they are.

I guess I will go practice piano now, since there is nothing else to do. Would've liked to watch a movie, but the tv's being occupied... Back to my tones and semitones... who can guess what this is: keynote-tone-tone-semitone-tone-tone-tone-semitone???

P.S. Does anyone know the real name of the Beast? Someone McCoy or something like that? Anyways, that is who I would choose, I guess... he is smart, and hangs up-side-down when he reads... oh, and he talks with big words, not to mention that he's big and blue... how attractive :)

just waiting

At school waiting for Sarah to get off class so we can go home... have to drop her off at church today... eek, don't like driving into downtown during work hours... not to mention having to go under the Lion's Gate bridge... I think I will just go around, taking Edmonton trail. Sounds good.

Been busy with school lately. It's funny cuz I had a 5 day weekend, yet I still left everything until the morning it was due. The past 2 days have been busy with homework and organizing... Lucky thing I don't have school tomorrow...

Hmmm.... it sure is quiet in the library... it's like people are actually working on assignments and stuff. Me? I am just blogging and I still can't concentrate... My eyes keep wandering at people who are walking by, and then we make eye contact, and so I look away.... only to look at someone else..... Oooo! --- that guy is good looking ;)

P.S. Soccer team seems to be coming together, so there is a good chance that we will soon have a team.

What the?

Man, blogger is really startingto get on my nerves... I updated another post, and some error came up, and I lost my whole entry. Luckily, I am quite a calm, pleasant person, and so I am not mad at all, but rather happy that I get to explore my inner most feelings and reflect on life for a second time today.

Let's see... we'll start with last night. I GOT TRICKED! I was debating on whether to go to YAC or not, and when I taught Charmaine piano lessons, she told me it was movie night. Well, for those of you who know me, movies are one of the things that help me do what I do best... no, not be nice... they help me zone out. Anyways, she told me that it was movie night, so I decided to go. When I got there, I found out that it was an April Fool's trick, and it was actually boardgame night... They expected me to interact with other people!!! They expected me to be nice, and mingle!!! What the?!?!?! How could someone ask that of me??? So, I spent the first half of the night by the food table... tried to talk to some of the kids, but it was too hard, I'm just not that type... and for the latter half of the night, I just played hackysack with my 2nd choice people... you know who you are, and yes, you were only my second choice :P I must say that I am really starting to enjoy the challenge of hackysack... I mean, who would've ever thought that coordinating foot and eye would be so hard?

Now, on to today. Today I went out to get my errands done. Unfortunately, I only got half of them done, because the other people were too incompetent... or, my car is too new, and they don't have the proper filter to change my oil. So, the morning was kinda wasted... As a consequence, I will also waste the afternoon by taking a nap. There's something very appealing about taking afternoon naps in the sun for me.... goodnight.... zzzZ.... ZZzz.... z..... zzz zz Z....
